Events in Nashville this May 2015

It’s hard to believe May is almost here. Everything is green and the days are longer. It’s the perfect time to get out and take in some fun events in Nashville.

May is also Nashville Street Food Month so you’ll see tons of food trucks gathering around town to celebrate. It’s the prefect time to get out and try them.

May 1 – 2

SEVIER PARK FEST | Come out to support Sevier Park and the 12 South neighborhood. There will be a concert on Friday night headlined by local artist Johnny Swim. Then Saturday will be full of activities, local artisans, food vendors and more.

May 1 – 3

TENNESSEE CRAFT FAIR | TACA is now Tennessee Craft but still puts on the same great show! Come out to view over 200 vendors showcase their beautiful crafts.

May 5

THE BIG PAYBACK | The Big Payback is a 24 hour community-wide online giving challenge hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. This ia great way to raise money for our non profits that are vital to our community.

May 8 – 9

EAST NASHVILLE CHICKEN CHASE | This is sure to be an interesting one! There will be live music and local food along with a chicken chase race and hot hen fashion show.

IROQUOIS STEEPLECHASE | One of our favorite events is here! Whether you watch from the box or hang out in the infield Steeplechase is always a good time!

MUSICIANS CORNER SPRING 2015 KICK OFF | It’s time to kick off the start to this weekly event in Centennial Park. You can take in free live music in the lawn and peruse food trucks and local artisans.

May 14

GENEROUS HELPINGS | This annual event is back at City winery this year. Come out to support Second Harvest and enjoy tastings of signature appetizers, entrees and desserts – along with drinks – from some of Nashville’s best local restaurants.

May 15 – 17

GOOD GUYS CAR SHOW | Good Guys gives you a show with over 2,500 vintage cars. There’s even a model car show along with food and live entertainment.

May 16

NASHVILLE WINE & FOOD FESTIVAL | Taking place at Riverfront Park, this annual event is a tasty one. Enjoy food prepared by local chefs paired with wine.

CAPITOL DISTRICT STREET FAIR | Morgan Park is host to this street fair that brings together the Germantown, Salemtown, Hope Gardens and Buena Vista neighborhoods. Additionally you can take part in the Tour de Nash, which offers a 9, 30 or 60 mile urban bike ride.

BREW AT THE ZOO | Animals, live music, food trucks and over 100 craft beers on tap – what’s more fun that this?

FULL MOON PICKIN’ PARTY AT WARNER PARKS | Grab the family for a night of bluegrass music and wonderful food and drink.
