About the Neighborhood
Kirkwood Avenue is a short walk from Sevier Park and the 12 South strip. The park opened in 1948 on the grounds of Sunnyside, a mansion built around 1852 that Granville Sevier bought and renovated in 1927. His heirs sold the property to the city after he died, and the Nashville Historical Foundation has its office in the house today.
12th Avenue South has become one of the most walkable stretches in the city, with restaurants, coffee and shops a few blocks from these homes, and Belmont University is right up the street. Downtown is about ten minutes away.
